Apprenticeship Program
The Spoleto Festival USA Apprenticeship Program offers college-age and early-career professionals a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in arts administration and technical production. Working alongside experienced Festival staff, apprentices contribute to the production of an internationally recognized arts festival while developing valuable professional skills in a fast-paced environment.

Festival Chorus Fellowship
The Spoleto Festival USA Chorus, led by Dr. Amanda Quist, is a leading professional choral ensemble that performs as part of Spoleto’s 17-day international performing arts festival in Charleston. Chorus Fellows perform major choral works, serve as the chorus for mainstage opera productions, and participate in special performance projects, with opportunities for solo roles depending on programming. Applications for the 2027 Chorus Fellowship are now closed.
Festival Orchestra Fellowship
The Spoleto Festival USA Orchestra, under Music Director Timothy Myers, brings together exceptional early-career orchestral musicians from across the country to perform as part of Spoleto’s internationally renowned Festival. Orchestra Fellows perform in major orchestral concerts, operas, ballets, and special projects throughout the Festival, gaining valuable professional experience alongside world-class artists. Applications for the 2027 Orchestra are now open.

Volunteer
Spoleto Festival USA relies heavily on community involvement, with volunteer ushers playing an important role in welcoming audiences and supporting performances throughout the 17-day festival in Charleston, South Carolina. Those interested in volunteering for the 2027 season can join the volunteer usher interest list to receive notification when applications open.
